Even After

Messages That Arrive Later

Product designWeb appVoiceSchedulingSensitive UX

Record voice messages, write letters, upload photos — scheduled to reach the people you love on birthdays, anniversaries, and after you're gone. A product nobody goes looking for, about a subject people would rather not think about.

The hardest thing I’ve had to sell. Nobody searches for this. Nobody arrives on the page already wanting it, and the subject is one most people actively avoid — which rules out every persuasion technique that depends on the visitor already being interested.

The brief

Explain a product about dying without leading with dying.

The homepage headline is Love that keeps going. The frame is the message arriving, not the reason it was scheduled. Everything practical — the check-in logic, what happens if you stop responding, who receives what and when — is present and plainly written, just not the first thing you meet.

Letting the product do the persuading

The strongest thing on the site is a demo you can use in thirty seconds: record a few words, and the phone rings back with your own voice.

Nothing written could do what hearing that does. It takes an abstract proposition and makes it concrete and slightly uncomfortable in exactly the way the product is, which is the honest version of the pitch.

What the project included

The in-page phone demo, a four-step explanation of how delivery works, the check-in and delivery logic, fixed pricing, and an FAQ that answers the practical questions people are too polite to ask.
